Julie Adamen in the principal of Adamen Inc., a consulting and employment firm specializing in the community management industry. Julie Adamen is a nationally recognized expert in community management, community management compensation and association and management company operations. She is a prolific author, educator, motivational speaker and trainer for community managers and Boards of Directors. Adamen Inc. has placed hundreds of community management professionals since its’ inception, including onsite, large-scale managers, high-rise managers and club managers. Adamen Inc. was the first, and is still the only, employment service of its type working solely in the community management industry. Julie has been speaking to and training community managers and Boards of Directors for over 18 years with Adamen Inc. (and 10 years as a community manager). In the past three years alone she has spoken to hundreds of attendees on over 35 separate occasions, from Hawaii to San Antonio. For nearly 18 years she has been primary writer and publisher of The HOA Manager NewsLine, an industry e-newsletter with a monthly circulation of over 15,000. She has authored hundreds of educational articles on community management and her work has been printed in over 100 industry publications. Julie also produces informative videos called The Manager Minute on YouTube. Julie has served on the Board of Directors of the California Association of Community Managers (CACM), the Foundation for Community Association Research (CAI), and many committees of local chapters of Community Associations Institute (CAI). She is a past and current member of Board(s) of Directors of two homeowners associations. She is a current member of CAI. 1987 – 1997 Julie worked in various capacities in the community management industry, beginning as a portfolio manager and quickly rising to the positions of Director of Marketing, Regional Vice President (Marquis Management Group) and Executive Director (Resort Community Management). She has managed many types of communities, including multiple master and sub-associations. From 1992 – 1997, Julie was the General Manager of Palm Valley Homeowners Association, Inc., in Palm Desert, CA. The community consists of 1,274 condominium units with budget responsibilities of $5.2 million.
